  • President:  One (1) member will be elected by the board to hold office as the President (Director),
  • that will serve one year term, as a board member.
  • Director:  Minimum of Six (6) additional directors, will be elected to support the President, that serve one year terms.
  • General Manager:  One (1) head coach (appointed to any team level) will be appointed by the Board of Directors, serve one year.
  • Team Coach:   Team coach positions to support Head Coach, which are appointed by the Head Coach, serve one year
  • Assistant Coach:  Assistant team coaches, which are appointed by the Team Coach, serve one year.
  • Team Manager:  Team manager positions (one for each team) are appointed to serve one season.
  • Committee Position:  The Board appoints various positions, to fulfill the needs of the club, serve one year.
The future or your child and all of the student athletes need your involvement.  Make that action and get involved today!

If you can help serve the needs of the club , please do not hesitate to nominate yourself.  If you have a skill, a vision or a simple interest in your child’s activities, than the club can use  your participation.  You will work along side other parents of similar interest and assist in the development of the club’s future.  Use this format and it will register your nomination for the upcoming 2010-2011 session.  Or you can leave your contact information with a current board member.  All nominations must be in by April 30, 2011.  Elections will be during our annual dinner banquet around the middle  - end of May.

Introducing Your

2011 - 2012  Board of Directors

President, (Executive Committee) Chief executive officer of the club. Oversee that all orders and resolutions are carried into effect.  Oversees that the fulfillment of the club’s bylaws are enacted throughout the various aspects of the club.

 

Vice President, (Executive Committee), duties include organizing and assisting the secretary in maintaining the order of conduct for meetings.  Maintain and manage the by-laws according to the direction of the club.  Operate and maintain the club’s Internet web site.  Participate and assist in overall needs of the club.

 

Vice President of Hockey Development (Executive Committee) , duties include working with various committee members, promoting membership and being the liaison between team managers and the board.

 

Director of Team Coaches, duties include being the board’s liaison between the head coach, team coaches and assistant coaches.  To include the general monitoring of the coaching staff, with the purpose of assuring the fulfillment of the club’s objectives as stated within the club’s bylaws.

 

Secretary (Executive Committee), duties include the monitoring and recording of club documents.

 

Treasurer (Executive Committee), duties include maintaining the accounts of all moneys of the corporation.  Which would include the monitoring and account of the club’s financial's.

 

Fund Raising Director, duties include the formation and management of various activities, to assist in producing revenue for the purpose of reducing the overall general cost of the club’s obligations.  Activities will include activities which players can participate in to assist in lowering their individual dues.

 

- Junior High Director, duties include the communication officer between the junior high teams and the board of directors.  Team managers can communicate any needs and or concerns to the director’s position.

All board members are appointed volunteers.  No salary of any kind will be paid to any board member for their service.  The appointed board of director’s, primary obligation is to perform various duties as defined by their full description to assist in the management of the club’s functions, activities and obligations.  Each member has accepted the office of their title with a clear understanding of their obligation to uphold the club’s bylaws and the membership’s  objectives.  These members have accepted their responsibility as presented to them by the membership’s election.    As a member of the Fort Zumwalt West Inline Hockey club, you have a right to submit any questions and or concerns to any member of the management team.  The board of directors shall acknowledge your submission and state a response.  The primary theme of the club is to provide an organization in which students attending the Fort Zumwalt West High School  District can participate in a competitive league within the sport of inline hockey.  This club is not sponsored by any public school district or program.  It’s management and ownership is as a non profit corporation and owned by the individual members on an annual basis.  It is required to have all annual dues paid to have membership participation.  All activities and functions of the club should be in support of providing the players an organization that is affordable, competitive, fair, educational  and respectful .  The pride of the club will become the desire of the players.

As per our club by-laws, the elections were completed with all of the ballots being tallied.  The results of the 2010-2011 season elections, have appointed 7 board members to manage the club’s activities .  These members will be make themselves available for questions and guidance to all players, parents and legal guardians.  The management of the activities of the club will not be limited to the members of the board.  It is the obligation of the board to assure the members that equal representation of all player levels are represented upon the board.  If it is determined that a player group does not have adequate representation, than an additional board member will be appointed to the board, by the current board members, to represent such group.  Other activities of the club may require committee members being appointed to manage a particular activity, such as a fund raising event.  In summary, the club will always need volunteers to assist in the management of the club.  It is our priority to deliver the ultimate level of opportunities and leadership to the players within the club by putting our best efforts into the management of the club.
